Hello there, I'm Rivers Smith. I'm a 14 year old that loves traveling. Yes, you read that right. A 14 year old is running this site. Anyways, after watching a video on YouTube, I have set off to try to travel to every single county seat in my home state of North Carolina.

Why Courthouses? 

You might be asking, "why do you take a picture of the courthouse and not something else, like the sign?" Well, because the courthouse is the main building for county government. It's like visiting a state capitol building or something like that. 

FAQs

1: What caused you to start doing this?

A video on YouTube of some guy and his family visiting all the NC county courthouses. It took him 8 years. You can watch the video here. 

2: What was the first you visited? 

Burke County.

3: What is the best and worst courthouses you've seen so far? 

For the best, either Jackson's old one or Mitchell's new one.

For worst, it's either Watauga's or Burke's new one. Both are boring beige squares, but Burke's has more windows and features like that, so Watauga's.

4: Plan on doing any other state's counties?

After I'm finished with North Carolina, maybe South Carolina or Tennessee.

5: How Long have you been doing this?

Currently a year, and I started when I was 12. Probably gonna take way longer than that though.

6: Why did you create this site? 

So I can archive these pictures of the courthouses, and to remember my visits.
